City and Country Ophthalmic Nursing Services Link Hands 

October 2006 saw the beginning of an exciting partnership between Sydney Eye Hospital, Prince Of Wales Eye Department and Moree Hospital.

Coordinators Ms Cheryl Moore- Nurse Educator-Ophthalmology at SH & SEH and Joanna Barton- Coordinator Outreach Services POWH saw this as an excellent opportunity to promote both ophthalmic hospitals clinical and educational expertise. The focus was to provide staff from the operating theatre in Moree with both clinical and educational experience thus enabling them to implement ophthalmic services within their hospital - commencement date early next year. The staff found the one-week program both challenging and rewarding it provided the opportunity to network and foster links across all sites. The team look forward to assisting each other in future projects.
